Lost: Zawieruszony

I lost a world the other day.
Has anybody found?
You’ll know it by the row of stars
Around its forehead bound.

A rich man might not notice it;
Yet to my frugal eye
Of more esteem than ducats.
Oh, find it, sir, for me!

Świat jaki zgubiłam, dni temu parę.
Czy odnalazł go kto?
Poznać po gwiazdach się daje
Na czele i w krąg.

Bogaczowi nań nie zważać;
Lecz na moje oko skromne
Nade dukaty szacowny.
Pan mi go znajdzie, proszę pana!

Emily Dickinson used the articles consciously. I like a look of agony (Time and Eternity, XII, Real) declines fondness: we would have the look of agony, then. I lost a world (Time and Eternity, XXXVI, Lost) does not pronounce the end of the world.
